The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) launched in the mid-sixties with a few teams. I started playing soccer a few years later when the organization was in its infancy. It was a new sport for many – players, coaches, fans, etc., but it caught on quickly. At first, few people knew how to coach or play the game.
During my third season, I had a coach who played the game for several years, and he knew soccer inside and out. It was an eye-opening experience for me and my teammates. We had a strategy and game plan and practiced with purpose. We did well in the playoffs and almost reached the championship game. It was a fun season.
If you’re starting a new venture or exploring a change, the right coach can make all the difference. A knowledgeable coach can guide and challenge you to reach new heights. A coach with experience who has walked in your shoes can be life-changing.
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. ~ Galatians 6:9
