My friends and I went to the beach often. Our primary destination was Shaws Cove in Laguna Beach. We always carried our Boogie Boards, masks, snorkels, and smashball sets. If there were waves, we’d go Boogie Boarding. If there were no waves, we’d snorkel. When tired of the water, a rare event, we’d play smashball. We prepared for all conditions, eliminating boredom and downtime at the beach. Our preparation maximized our enjoyment.
Preparation is the key to positive outcomes, whether going to the beach, starting a job, or serving others. Spending time preparing for your adventure on the front end will reduce downtime and frustration on the back end.
Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest. ~ Proverbs 6:6-8
