Marathon Training

During one of my Boston Marathon training runs, I got caught in a Texas thunderstorm with lightning and hail. It was a bad situation. However, I was several miles from home, so I had to keep running. I’m sure the people who saw me running that day thought I was a nut job, but I didn’t care because they weren’t familiar with my goal, training routine, or motivation. I ignored their stares and double-takes and kept running.

Whether you’re training for a marathon, writing blogs, creating videos, or starting a company, most people will think you’re out of your mind and secretly hope you fail because they don’t dare to step into the ring. They lack the courage to run against the herd or resist the crowd.

If you’re one of the few willing to stake your claim, keep going and forget the naysayers.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. ~ Deuteronomy 31:6
