While living in Mission Beach, San Diego, I experienced an amazing daily ritual. The locals would leave their houses to watch the incredible California sunset. Hundreds of people migrated towards the boardwalk to sit on the wall and admire God’s handy work for several minutes. It was a nice break in the day to stop and reflect.
California does not have a monopoly on sunsets, though it’s close. I’ve also witnessed extraordinary sunsets in Haiti, Kenya, and Nicaragua. I’m sure your city has a favorite viewing spot or two.
Working from sunrise to sunset is easy, but I encourage you to step outside and enjoy nature to recharge your batteries. A moment of reflection is good for the heart and the soul.
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised! ~ Psalm 113:3
